Customer Service?

US Post Office

One can easily understand why the Postal Service is billions of dollars in the red. Of course there are fewer letters/packages mailed (due to email, Fax, FedEx, UPS).

There is also another reason for the Post Office decline….failure to understand that the postal service is for the customer rather than the customerĀ supporting the post office.

On a busy Friday afternoon at the Cary main post office….1 clerk actively waiting on people….1 clerk taking 20 minutes to process a package and 1 clerk leaves and never returns. Where is the supervisor filling in or other postal workers helping out. At least at Kroger’s….if the checkout lines get backed up….there is a call for more baggers/cashiers.

If a business doesn’t respect its customers….eventually they will go elsewhere. And that is what is happening at the US Post Office.
