I heard recently that an associate resigned from an organization that had sponsored our leadership seminars. This person was the focal point for our work. We had similar ideas and worked well together. I don’t know the specific reason(s) for this sudden departure. Though I have a few ideas.
Knowing this organization….this resignation was more than likely a Leadership issue. There have been cracks in leadership and one probably got much wider and my colleague resigned.
Leadership is a difficult concept. My fundamental principle is that: everything depends on leadership. Some folks have it….some don’t.
In this organization….there has been a lack of leadership….it wasn’t built into their culture.
