We visit Wendy’s on Sunday evenings. It’s an inexpensive dinner and healthy (baked potato). Wendy’s is an OK fast food chain….certainly not McDonald’s. While clean and well taken care of….most Wendy’s need an updating.

What makes the difference at “our” Wendy’s is Najeeb. Najeeb has a pleasant smile….is articulate and does his job well. Most people don’t make a career out of entry-level jobs.

I would hope that someone at Wendy’s sees the potential in Najeeb and guides him in his life and career. I suspect that is not the managers main duty….yet it would be rewarding to have someone recognize his abilities and mentor him along the way.

Najeeb makes our Sundays at Wendy’s pleasant.

7 Steps

The Seven-step Path to Sustaining Success

Seven must be a magic number for getting ideas across….7 rules….7 keys….etc. Most folks would probably say they were nice and do nothing with them.

In this example….they say a lot.

You take care of the people.
The people take care of the service.
The service takes care of the customer.
The customer takes care of the profit.
The profit takes care of the re-investment.
The re-investment takes care of the re-invention.
The re-invention takes care of the future.
(And at every step the only measure is EXCELLENCE.)
