We ventured out to a favorite eatery. They are reasonable….food is tasty….and convenient. Yet….they could be much better….with a nice attitude. Now, the counter folks were OK….however, a nice attitude encourages customers to visit more often….to bring friends and more customers.
It is a puzzle why owners of places, like our favorite, don’t recognize a little extra effort by the people who work at the counter could make a good business even better.
Meijer, a large midwest supercenter chain, puts their best (and well-paid) people on the checkouts.
The last thing many people remember is the checkout. Meijer wants their customers to leave feeling positive about their shopping experience.
