We see good leadership….we see bad leadership….yet everthing revolves around leadership. The true test is whether leadership is effective or ineffective.
In my experience….many business/organization leaders rely on intuition more than anything else. I would suspect that most have spent a minimal amount of time on what it takes (or means) to be a good leader.
Two worthwhile examples of understanding leadership:
- From Tony Morgan: 7 leadership lessons from previous bosses- http://tonymorganlive.com/2014/08/27/bosses/
- From Admiral William McRaven : Ten leadership lessons from the Navy Seals: http://videos.komando.com/watch/6275/viral-videos-navy-admiral-shares-10-lessons-he-learned-from-basic-seal-training-and-theyre-all-brilliant?utm_medium=nl&utm_source=tvkim&utm_content=2014-08-31-article-title-a
These are not textbook lessons….they are real-life examples and are critical to a thorough understanding leadership.
