Sprecher Brewery – Glendale, WI
I didn’t plan on another Wisconsin story….yet! However, Sundays CBS Morning Show had a segment on root beer. The only root beer that I can recall that is any way a brand name is Hires and A&W. It seems that a trend has developed in brewing “craft” root beers similar to specialized craft beer. Featured on the morning show was Sprecher Root Beer made in Glendale, WI, a suburb of Milwaukee.
Here’s what I liked about the story.
- New niche markets created for unique root beers
- A entrepreneur taking the risk in making the root beer
- A quality product that attracts customers
- Good things can come out of the Midwest
